We are getting ready to add a new camera to our inventory as a back-up to the cameras we currently have. We have had good results with the Canon Cameras that we have been using. I think we will update with the T3i and then after that we are looking at the Canon 7D. Coming up next Saturday, July 30, 2011, we will be at the 2nd Annual Military Challenge in Virginia Beach. It is always fun to watch the people racing through Mud Pits !

Back to School Time !

This summer is flying by ! Still have some great events left this summer: Military Challenge, East Coast Surfing Championships and the Neptune Festival !

Texas Roadhouse Dancers at the Mount Trashmore July 4th Celebration. After a rain delay the remainder of the celebration is set for September 16, 2011.

We are busy working on photos ! We have several events coming up in the next few months: 2nd Annual Military Challenge, 2011 East Coast Surfing Championships and the Neptune Festival. While working on photos I watch all kinds of shows. One of my favorites is Unsolved Mysteries with the late Robert Stack. I just pruchased all the episodes I could find, that is a great show, you should check them out if you are interested in mysteries.

Summer !

One disapointment was the fireworks was cancelled because of a strong thunderstorm, but it was still a nice afternoone before the storm arrived.

Memory Card

When going to a photo shoot make sure that you always have enough memory cards. When we go to a festival or event we usually take around 1,000 to 3,000 photos. I have several Transcend cards and they work really good. I usually carry between 5 to 9 cards with me, so I don't miss the action.

Working on Photos !

So how is your summer going? We are working on photos of the North American Sand Soccer Championships that were held in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We will be posting hundreds of more photos in the gallery on our website www.forgotthecamera.com We also have been working on our photo storage and 'found' over 9,000 photos of the 2010 Steel Pier Classic Surfing event that we never posted, so we are going to go back and start posting more of those photos. Back from vacation !

I will begin uploading photos to our site again now that I have rested up for a week ! We will be working on the Pungo Strawberry Festival pictures and , if it does not rain too much this weekend, we will be posting photos of the North American Sand Soccer Championships by early next week. We have been testing out a small video camera, the Kodak Play Sport. A 1080p HD palm sized video camera. It has been doing a pretty good job for such a small camera.
